The team announced Tuesday that they signed the No. 9 overall pick Roma Odunze According to Ian Rapoport, it is a fully guaranteed four-year rookie contract worth $22.7 million, which will include a $13.3 million signing bonus.

All first-round rookie contracts include a fifth-year option that clubs can exercise if they choose. It’s also not unusual for first-rounders to have their contracts fully guaranteed.
Odunze’s announced deal ensures he won’t be sidelined for training camp this summer. The Bears’ rookies reported to Halas Hall on Tuesday and will get to work immediately.
The Bears still need to sign their first overall pick, quarterback Caleb Williams, but there has been no indication that Williams is planning to sit out this summer. Fellow rookies Kiran Amegadjie, Tory Taylor and Austin Booker have already signed their rookie contracts.
