Mitchell Orval has caused controversy by sharing a video of his young son playing near a saltwater crocodile.
In the video, which was posted on Instagram but appears to have been deleted, one of the Australian influencer’s young children wanders along the coast of Tiwi Island in the Northern Territory, where the family is on holiday.
The video then pans across the sand to the water where a crocodile hovers, just meters away from the child, who appears to be one-year-old Sunny, whom he shares with fellow influencer Chloe Szepanowski.
He captioned the footage: “On the retirement beach.”
An earlier post showed father and son hugging before the outing and was captioned: “See some huge crocodiles.”

“Crocodiles are common on the Tiwi Islands, one must always assume that saltwater crocodiles are present in any waterway,” it reads.
‘Do not become complacent; The danger from crocodiles is real and attacks can be fatal.
“Saltwater crocodiles can attack people on boats and the smaller the boat, the greater the risk.”

Mitch, 27, got down on one knee and proposed to the stunning model, 25, during a getaway to Tiwi Island Retreat in the Northern Territory.
A clip shared on social media shows the couple enjoying a drink on a sandy beach before Mitch’s surprise proposal.
The model could not hide her surprise and excitement when saying yes.
The couple, who have been together for nine years, immediately shared a passionate kiss and hug while their son, Arti, looked on.
‘We are getting married! A special place forever @tiwiislandretreat,’ Chloe captioned the post.
The couple shares two children, Arti, three, and Sunny, one.
It comes after a happy announcement when Mitch and fellow influencer Chloe Szepanowski (right) announced their engagement this weekend.
