Mitchell Orval has caused controversy by sharing a video of his young son playing near a saltwater crocodile.

In the video, which was posted on Instagram but appears to have been deleted, one of the Australian influencer’s young children wanders along the coast of Tiwi Island in the Northern Territory, where the family is on holiday.

The video then pans across the sand to the water where a crocodile hovers, just meters away from the child, who appears to be one-year-old Sunny, whom he shares with fellow influencer Chloe Szepanowski.

He captioned the footage: “On the retirement beach.”

The couple, who have been together for nine years, immediately shared a passionate kiss and hug while their son, Arti, looked on.

The couple shares two children, Arti, three, and Sunny, one.
