Disgraced former television personality Andrew O’Keefe was all smiles as he left court on Thursday, where he was hit with a new charge as he awaits trial after appealing domestic violence convictions.

The former Deal or No Deal presenter appeared at Waverley Local Court on Thursday charged with intimidation and breaching a planned violence order.

The court was told that police had laid an additional charge of entering fenced land without lawful excuse following the alleged incident on July 28.

Police allege the 52-year-old threatened a man at an address in Point Piper shortly before he was stopped while driving and allegedly found in possession of a crack pipe.

The court was told last month that O’Keefe allegedly confronted the man “possibly as a matter of jealousy” after a “reunion” with his former partner.

The prosecutor then said O’Keefe had admitted putting a foot in the door despite knowing he “shouldn’t be” on the property.

The court was told O’Keefe was found after the alleged intimidation with a crack pipe in his jacket pocket and was under the influence of drugs, but has not been charged with any drug-related offence.

He will return to court next week, when his new lawyer, Jahan Kalantar, said he is likely to plead not guilty pending “fruitful discussions” with the police prosecutor.

This comes as the former Weekend Sunrise presenter awaits his fate in a high-profile appeal of drug and domestic violence convictions handed down in January.

O’Keefe was found guilty and sentenced to 12 months and three 18-month community sentences for the “frightening and degrading” attack.
