Amy Poehler has revealed what she loves most about Australians.
Sitting down on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show podcast, the SNL alum, 52, explained why she thinks Australians are full of joy.
‘Australia is very good at joy. I have to say it,” she shared.
“They have a great time because they’re interested in these big moments and they’re outdoors people and so they have these giant endorphins,” he added.
The comedian, who voices the character Joy in Inside Out 2, divulged her perception of emotion.

‘Joy… you can only feel it if you are really where you are supposed to be in the real moment. When we think about the future or when we think about what we regret, we get out of that state a little bit,” he explained to Jessica Rowe.
Amy traveled to Australia in May for a special Vivid Ideas event at the Sydney Opera House.
While in the country, Amy also shared a very relatable story about a big night out in Sydney.
The comedy queen revealed she was partying in the port city one night with Australian country music star Jade Hurley.

In an interview with PedestrianThe Parks and Recreation star said the night started innocently enough.
“I went and saw (Hurley) perform some of his covers and hits and he was an incredible musician,” she said.
“We all got so drunk we left our wallets at the bar. How cool it was! And we hope to do something like that tonight… who hasn’t been there? she added.

But Jade Hurley isn’t the only Australian artist Amy has shared a drink with.
The Mean Girls star opened up about a surprising gift she received from Hugh Jackman.
The American comedian revealed that Jackman, 55, holds a special place in her heart.
Amy traveled to Australia in May for a special Vivid Ideas event at the Sydney Opera House.
“You know who one of my favorites was, Hugh Jackman, an absolute prince and very talented,” he said. The Daily Telegraph.
“He gave all the cast members a case of Fosters beer.”
Jackman was a guest host on the long-running American comedy show in December 2001, starring alongside Poehler and Maya Rudolph.
Poehler added that although she was no longer on SNL when Chris Hemsworth, 40, guest hosted in 2015, she heard that he had a “powerful” presence and that his “essence remained” long after he left.
