A pizza bought at Miami airport has caused a stir on the Internet due to its pathetic appearance.

Reddit user TheIndustrialMachine shared a photo of their shady-looking pizza and claimed to have purchased the pathetic pizza from Maestro Della Pizza in the airport’s Central Terminal.

In the image, the pizza appears to be little more than a rectangle of lumpy store-bought dough with a translucent layer of red sauce on top.

On top of the pizza are two and a half slices of sickly-colored mozzarella that don’t quite cover the entire surface and are clearly not melted.

The Reddit user captioned their image: “The worst looking and worst tasting pizza I’ve ever had.”

The image of the pizza quickly went viral, with the post receiving nearly 900 upvotes and 311 comments.

Many pizza lovers were eager to poke fun at the lousy piece of food, which soon began to be perceived as a slight on pizzas everywhere.

“What a shameful, sad, awful, depressing, horrible insult to pizza,” wrote one user.

Another commented simply: “That is the most horrible pizza I have ever seen.”

This moral outrage was echoed in another user’s comment: “Legally that cannot be labeled as pizza.”

TheIndustrialMachine responded to this comment, revealing, to the horror of other users, that they paid $12.

“The box was sealed and I didn’t get to see it before I bought it. I still ate it,” they wrote, adding: “There aren’t many food options in MIA Terminal G.”

According New times in MiamiThe Central Terminal comprises concourses E, E Satellite, F and G, where the user said he was located.

A Yelp user named Ben H. wrote a venomous review about the restaurant’s tragic pizza.

“Possibly the worst pizza in the world,” she wrote. “It was like a cardboard pizza box with melted cheese on top. Makes Little Caesars look like a five-star restaurant.”

“And for $12?” he continued. “In retrospect, I wouldn’t have eaten this pizza if it was being given away.”
