Reddit user TheIndustrialMachine shared a photo of their shady-looking pizza and claimed to have purchased the pathetic pizza from Maestro Della Pizza in the airport’s Central Terminal.
In the image, the pizza appears to be little more than a rectangle of lumpy store-bought dough with a translucent layer of red sauce on top.
On top of the pizza are two and a half slices of sickly-colored mozzarella that don’t quite cover the entire surface and are clearly not melted.

The image of the pizza quickly went viral, with the post receiving nearly 900 upvotes and 311 comments.
Many pizza lovers were eager to poke fun at the lousy piece of food, which soon began to be perceived as a slight on pizzas everywhere.
“What a shameful, sad, awful, depressing, horrible insult to pizza,” wrote one user.

A Yelp user named Ben H. wrote a venomous review about the restaurant’s tragic pizza.
“Possibly the worst pizza in the world,” she wrote. “It was like a cardboard pizza box with melted cheese on top. Makes Little Caesars look like a five-star restaurant.”
“And for $12?” he continued. “In retrospect, I wouldn’t have eaten this pizza if it was being given away.”
