A teenager has died after a horror crash on the New South Wales Central Coast.
A pickup truck was traveling on Pacific Highway in Charmhaven when it veered off the road and crashed into a tree early Wednesday morning.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman, fled the scene but was soon located and taken to hospital under police supervision.
A 17-year-old boy who was travelling as a passenger died at the scene and has not yet been formally identified.
“A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing,” NSW Police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
