An abandoned doctor cut off her boyfriend’s penis in a macabre act of revenge after he failed to show up for her wedding.
The 25-year-old doctor allegedly carried out the gruesome murder in Bihar, eastern India, on Monday, according to local reports.
The groom, from Madhaura, was rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital for urgent treatment following the horrific attack.
The accused girlfriend, who claimed to have been in a relationship with the man for the past five years, said she was furious when he continued to refuse to marry her.
Finally, the woman from Hajipur managed to convince her lover to agree to a registered civil marriage, or so she thought.

But on the long-awaited wedding day, the woman’s groom apparently backed out and did not show up at the altar.
After waiting for him to make his appearance at court, she packed up her efforts and returned home, where she then invited him to her house.
When he arrived, unaware of the horrors that were about to occur, she allegedly cut off his penis with a knife.
Neighbors reportedly heard her screams before informing police that something sinister was happening within the walls of the house.
When police arrived at the scene, they were met with a nightmare sight of a seriously injured man lying on a bed in a pool of blood.
“The woman is a 25-year-old unmarried doctor from Hajipur. She was practising her profession in Madhaura. The victim is also unmarried,” said the station house officer of Madhaura police station in Saran district.
“We have arrested the accused and are conducting further investigations,” he added.
But this is not the first time that a woman in India has cut off her partner’s penis.
In 2018, an Indian woman cut off her husband’s genitals for “neglecting her and spending time with his second wife.”
A year earlier, a jilted bride blindfolded her lover and cut off his penis with a sickle after he said he was going to marry someone else.
Incredibly, the victim tried to cover it up by claiming he had cut it himself in India.
Also in 2017, a woman in India was arrested after allegedly cutting off her husband’s penis during an argument over their extramarital affair.
The 30-year-old mother of four was arrested in Gudiyatham, Tamil Nadu, as she was heading to her parents’ home, with her husband’s genitals still in her bag.
And that same year, a “sex-starved Indian wife” cut off her husband’s penis after he refused to make love to her for a decade.
