Mum-of-one Millie slammed 'bogan, lower class' parents who let their children run wild in public areas after her favorite cafe's playground was destroyed on May 31.

A frustrated mother has criticized ‘bogans’ who let her children run wild in public spaces after the children destroyed the hand-built playground at her favorite cafe.

Millie, from Townsville, posted a video on TikTok criticizing the parents of an unsupervised child who destroyed the playground at Sirens Bayside cafe in the north Queensland city on May 31.

The mother of one lashed out at any adult who let their children do something like that in a public place, calling the act “low class.”

“Quietly, if you take your kids to a coffee shop that has a playground and then you think that’s automatic permission to let your kids run wild and vandalize the place you shouldn’t be taking them there,” he said.

Cafe owner Natalie Giofre, 36, built the play area by hand earlier this year and said her staff were too busy that day to notice children running amok outside.

Mrs. Giofre said yahoo news He came out to find that “the children’s corner had been completely trashed” that morning.

“The door had been ripped off the stall, it was all jagged and there were nails hanging out,” he told the publication.

The owner added that the mother of the child who had destroyed the playground was sitting “doing nothing” during the incident.

Later that day, Giofre said she saw another child throwing rocks and throwing them into a stall, prompting her to approach the mother, who dismissed the behavior.

‘(The mother) was pretty adamant and just said, ‘I’m not here to have to worry about what my kids are doing…if I have to worry about my kids breaking something or making a mess, then ‘I’m just going to take them to the park,” he said.

Ms. Giofre addressed the incident online when Millie found out, which led her to Walk past the cafe and discover that the playground has since been removed.

“The damage was so bad that they had to remove the playground. I hope they repair it and put it back up,” Millie said in her video.

“Everyone complains that Townsville doesn’t have nice cafes or facilities, but when a cafe owner puts in the effort to make their space nice, this is what happens.

“Frankly, it doesn’t matter how expensive your sportswear is, if you’re not going to raise your children, then that’s just low-class bogan behavior.”

Ms Giofre agreed with Millie’s assessment and told the publication that it is the parents’ responsibility to supervise their children, not the cafe staff.

“We don’t run a daycare (and) we’re not here to make sure your kids don’t tear up the yard, break things or misbehave,” Giofre said.

Other people who saw Millie’s video sided with the cafe owner, with many agreeing that letting a child run loose is “unacceptable.”

“Honestly, the worst thing about being a parent is other parents,” one person said.

“I totally agree, I’m in Townsville too and many times I’ve seen parents let their children destroy property and have no remorse,” added another.

‘Also letting children harass staff who bring hot food! Is not safe.’

“Why do parents think it’s okay to not actively supervise their children in a play area? It boggles my mind,” said a third.

“My sister-in-law literally lets her kids run around playing hide-and-seek in pubs,” one woman admitted.

‘I work in a cafe with a small play area, we had a mini cafe. “I bought a bunch of little wooden toys with food, they were all destroyed or stolen within two weeks,” said another.
