A Secret Service agent accused of sexually assaulting an aide to Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin was “completely drunk” when he forcibly groped her.

The unidentified man is now also under investigation for trying to grab a second member of staff, DailyMail.com has learned.

“He may have also attempted to grope another woman present,” the source with knowledge of the incident said, adding that this is part of the investigation.

A video shows the officer slumped in a hotel hallway where the alleged sexual assault initially occurred, the source told DailyMail.com.

The source revealed that the agent was already drunk when he first approached a group of campaign staff members that night at a restaurant/bar in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where the campaign was doing groundwork for an upcoming Harris campaign event.

The event was ultimately cancelled because the campaign decided to hold a rally in Atlanta.

The night of the alleged assault was the last day in the city for the planners, who were due to leave the following morning.

After leaving the bar, the group of employees returned to the room of the assaulted woman to continue the party. The officer accompanied them.

“There’s no misunderstanding about what happened,” the source explained. “It’s just that he acted like a drunken fool in a bar.”

‘The staff came in and recognised him as being in the same orbit and allowed him to join the group.

“In a drunken state, he started making advances. This officer is entirely to blame.”

He followed the woman to her hotel room, where he allegedly approached her and grabbed her breast, the source said.

“He was a mess and at some point he ended up in the hotel hallway,” the source said. “There’s video of him drunk on the floor. He was annihilated.”

The agent was sent back to Washington, DC.

“The U.S. Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating an allegation of misconduct involving an employee,” a Secret Service spokesperson told Real Clear Politics.

The source told DailyMail.com: “He will be investigated, he will no longer work for the vice president and his career will be negatively affected.”

The source described the victim as a low-level employee in her 20s, who does not want her identity leaked.

“The victim is doing well, but she is very concerned that her name is not in this case,” the source said. “That’s not what she wants to be known for.”

Neither the White House nor the Secret Service immediately responded to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

The new report is a further embarrassment for the agency following two attempted assassinations of former President Donald Trump.

News of the incident comes on the same day the Senate released a report revealing a series of lapses by the Service that ultimately allowed would-be assassin Thomas Crooks to successfully fire rounds of missiles at Trump, severing his right ear.

One supporter of the protest in Butler, Pennsylvania, was killed and two others were seriously injured.

Another troubling finding from the bipartisan investigation was how technical problems brought down Secret Service drones on July 13.

It took several hours to get the drones up and running again, and the officer responsible for drone operations had only three months of experience with the equipment.

The report released Wednesday concluded that the failures that occurred before the demonstration were “foreseeable, avoidable and directly related to the events that led to the attempted murder that day.”

The second assassination attempt on Trump came on Sept. 15, when gunman Ryan Routh hid in bushes outside the former president’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

As Trump walked down the fifth fairway, Secret Service agents headed to the sixth hole, where one agent spotted the barrel of Routh’s rifle.

Officers shot him, but he managed to escape and was later arrested in Port St. Lucie, Florida, 45 miles north of the scene.

Routh, 58, now faces charges of attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
