Glen Powell has finally admitted that he and Sydney Sweeney ‘leaned on’ their romance rumors to generate buzz for their romantic comedy Everyone But You.

The speculation smacked of scandal because at the time Sydney was already engaged to her longtime love, Jonathan Davino.
Now Glen has confessed that he and Sydney deliberately allowed the rumors to flourish to help their film at the box office.

The Hollywood Adonis, whose films include Top Gun: Maverick, explained: “The two things you have to sell in a romantic comedy are fun and chemistry.”
He noted: “Sydney and I have a lot of fun together and we have a lot of natural chemistry. People want to get what’s on the screen off the screen and sometimes you just have to lean into it a little bit, and it worked great. Sydney is very smart.
Sydney, who executive produced Everyone But You, shared that she “was on every call” related to promoting the film.
