Marty Sheargold returned to his Triple M show in January after a three-month break.
Breakfast host took ‘personal leave’ after a alleged incident at AFL Grand Final last year in September, which saw him leave at halftime.
And some listeners have called his return to the airwaves “unfunny” and “disgusting.”
In a Reddit thread this week, several weighed in on Sheargold’s on-air antics lately and offered their opinions.
‘He’s become a bigger bastard since he came back. “The bad bastard wouldn’t dare say half the nonsense he says to callers if they were in the studio,” said one.

“I agree with you, he has gotten worse since his crisis and recovery,” wrote another.
“I feel like it’s gone up a notch lately, but based on the comments, other people don’t seem to think so,” someone else said.
‘All jokes are stupid jokes. After a while of listening to them you get tired of them’ commented one more.
“I feel like he used to be funny but now he seems to insult people without there being a notable joke involved,” said another.

‘I have no idea how he got his own show; At best, he is black, not a presenter, carried by the rest of his team. “The guy reads the newspaper headlines, guys who make a lot of money, could use a little effort on their segments,” someone else said.
Others, however, disagreed, with one chiming in: “It’s no different than normal.” The “evil” is part of his trick.
WhatsNew2Day Australia has contacted Triple M for comment.
The troubled Melbourne radio host, 52, said he took an “extended break” because he had become “exhausted”.
“I realized that I had completely exhausted myself over the last few years,” he explained.
He went on to say that he was inspired by AFL coaches Alistair Clarkson and Damien Hardwick, who both stepped away from their respective football teams last year.

‘Two men last year put their hands up and said, “I need a break.” And I thought, ‘You know, I need a break,'” Sheargold said.
‘Things are changing. I’m not doing routine this year,’ he added, to which his producer Loren Barry said, ‘You’re just doing you.’
Then Marty made a weird joke and said, ‘I’m going to do shit too.’ It’ll be fun, so stick with it. Watch the wheels fall off.
Late last year, Southern Cross Austereo confirmed Sheargold would return to radio in January after being off the air for three months on a “mental health break”.
He was reportedly expelled by MCG security due to offensive comments he made to other guests.
When approached for comment, a Southern Cross Austereo spokesperson told WhatsNew2Day Australia: “Marty Sheargold left the AFL Grand Final at half-time of his own volition.”
Sheargold was on air the week after the Grand Final, but disappeared a few days later, leading to Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann replacing him.
