Glastonbury headliner Dua Lipa plans to turn her appearance at this summer’s festival into a dramatic film using behind-the-scenes footage of her preparation for her main stage appearance.
The Brit Award-winning British singer, 28, will also use the film to accompany a single released after her performance at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Ms Lipa received confirmation that she would be headlining the festival on June 28, saying: “I have dreamed of this moment all my life.”
Glastonbury headliner Dua Lipa (pictured, performing at the Grammy Awards in February) plans to turn her appearance at this summer’s festival into a dramatic film using behind-the-scenes footage of her preparation for her main stage appearance .
The singer appeared at the festival in 2017 (pictured) and during Mark Ronson’s set in 2019, but never dreamed she would be big enough to join headliners like Coldplay and Shania Twain this year.
The heads of the record label confirm that the singer herself suggested the idea of making a documentary.
An industry source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘(Ms Lipa) wants to convey the Glastonbury experience to fans around the world as many will never have the opportunity to attend.
‘The plan is to use some of the footage to accompany the release of their new single. We don’t think anyone has used Glastonbury footage with their own single release before. But there will also be a lot of additional material… and possibilities of releasing a Dua Lipa Glastonbury movie.”
