Levi Roots has broken his silence on social media after being kicked out of the Big Brother house on Friday.
Last week, the 65-year-old entrepreneur became the third housemate to be rejected by the public, followed closely by Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
After reuniting with his family and returning home to Northamptonshire, the father-of-eight took to his music Instagram page to update his fans and reveal the “game plan” he had at home.
Levi shared: “Two weeks of incredible self-discovery in the Big Brother house. First of all, I wanted to say thank you to everyone.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and thank you to everyone who allowed me to be myself, who allowed me to be the authentic Levi Roots, who I am.”

He continued: “It’s been an absolutely incredible journey. I went there because I wanted to find myself in a different way.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been on stage, since Dragons’ Den 17 years ago, so I really wanted to connect with these young people who maybe weren’t even born when I joined Dragons ‘Den in 2007.
“I’ve had such an impact on young people with my music, with the food and the sauce.
“I wanted to get back to a situation where they can see me in a different light and maybe I’m not shown on social media or on TV.
“Because in the house you have to be authentic yourself, or at least I was anyway.”
“I didn’t expect to stay in the house this long, but I did and it’s because I tried to be myself at all times.
“That was my game plan, was not to pretend to be anyone other than Levi Roots.
“I am very grateful for the messages I have seen and to be home with my family. The key message for everyone is to always be yourself.

While host Will Best opened it up to the audience to try and get some support for Ekin-Su, he had a hard time finding an audience member who was on his side.
