A man will face court after allegedly leaving a baby in a car on the NSW Central Coast for 40 minutes on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to the Toukley Aquatic Center car park in Heador St, Toukley, after a 13-month-old boy was found unattended and strapped into a child seat on an unlocked Peugeot 4WD.
The police will claim that the child was left unattended while the child’s father was inside the swimming pool.

Officers from the Tuggerah Lakes Police District arrived at the scene and found the car’s front passenger window slightly down, with all doors closed and the engine off.
There was no air conditioning as the temperature reached 28C.
The boy was red and sweating but otherwise uninjured when NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed him at the scene.

The 40-year-old father returned to the vehicle 15 minutes later after being contacted by police.
The man has been issued with a future court appearance notice for the offense of leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle causing emotional distress.
He is expected to appear in Wyong Local Court on April 24.
