A celebrity lookalike who tricked people into thinking she was Kate Moss at the Paris fashion show is actually a model and mum from Ormskirk who has thanked her ‘fans’ for their interest – but how complicated is it? differentiate between both?
The strange double of supermodel Kate burst onto the catwalk yesterday at the Marine Serre Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show.
While many have been fooled into believing it was the real Kate Moss, 50, it was actually someone calling herself ‘Fake Moss’ – Denise Ohnona, 43, from Ormskirk in Lancashire.
While Kate launched herself as a fashion superstar as a teenager, Denise has only worked as a professional model for the past six years, after enduring not only a messy divorce but also a traumatic car collision that left her with lasting scars.
And although Kate has adopted a glittering transatlantic lifestyle of hard partying, before launching her own brand of wellness products, Denise says she is happy to focus on being a single mother while enjoying the attention as a lookalike.

Denise shared images and videos of her fittings on Instagram, where she goes by the name ‘I’m not Kate Moss.’
This week’s show decision by the eco-friendly brand was captured on Denise’s social media.
Full-time mum Denise previously told Mail Online: When I broke up with my ex-husband eight years ago, I became a bit ‘mummy’, lost my fashion sense and quit the gym.
‘I looked after the children day and night and it was more important to run after them than to look after myself. Then I started getting people to mistake me for Kate Moss when I went anywhere.
“When they told me I could look like Kate Moss, I pulled myself together and started focusing on myself again. I went back to the gym and took care of my appearance and the comments started again!’
During her appearance in Paris on Monday, Denise harkens back to Kate’s independent days in an oversized leather jacket adorned with the brand’s crescent moon logo and a matching bag.
She wore heavy black eye makeup, while her signature dirty blonde locks were worn in loose waves to add to the indie ensemble.
Denise’s Instagram posts include sound bites from Moss’s testimony in Johnny Depp’s court battle with Amber Depp.
She has been photographed in the window of a McDonald’s, playing off Kate’s famous quote which suggests: “Nothing tastes as good as feeling skinny.”
Despite her double job, she describes herself as a full-time mother to her daughters Elise, 13, and Anais, eight.
Denise said: ‘When I started porridge I used to be very shy and felt like a fraud had become a fake moss.

“But then as time went on I started to enjoy it and now find it very flattering. Who wouldn’t want to be confused with Kate Moss? She’s one of the most incredibly iconic women of all time!
“Now I get mistaken for her on a daily basis, especially when I’m in central London – that’s where the paparazzi tend to find me.”
“However, even the general public confuses us and I am constantly asked to pose for selfies in clubs and at the supermarket.
“It’s amazing that I was able to find something that transformed me from my frumpy mom lifestyle to a glamorous ‘supermodel.'”
