The property will be auctioned on Saturday 23 November and is expected to be particularly attractive to potential buyers.

As property prices have risen steadily in the area over the past few years, they are expected to sell for much more than Fanning paid for them.

It was previously claimed that it was expected to sell for at least $4 million, with Fanning hoping to make a profit of at least $1 million.

Fanning and his partner Breeana Randall also own other properties in the area, which are believed to have a total value of around $10 million.

They lived in the house with their two young children, Xander and Lyla.

RealEstate.com.au previously reported that the property was one of the most viewed in Australia when it last came up for sale in 2021.

Fanning has an impressive real estate empire and sold his Coolangatta duplex for $2.8 million at another auction in 2021.

There were nine registered bidders at the auction and two parties entered into a bidding war. The winning bidder is a local to the area and purchased the property as an investment.

Larger apartments were expected to yield around $750 per week, and granny flats around $450 per week.

Fanning bought the beachside units for $3.1 million in 2007, repainted the block and renovated the interiors in a bohemian, beachy style.

He reportedly still owns two other properties on the same street, which he purchased in 2005 and 2006 for $1.39 million and $1.2 million respectively.

Fanning, a native of Sydney’s Penrith, is one of Australia’s most famous surfers.

He survived a shark attack during a competition in South Africa in 2015, an incident that made global headlines.
