Donald Trump created a bizarre story about Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in an apparent attempt to criticize hydrogen cell car technologies.
The Republican candidate has repeatedly insisted that hydrogen fuel cell cars are unsafe and even explode, although setbacks with the new technology are rare.
He repeated those claims in Atlanta on Monday night and decided to bring his criticism to life by imagining Marjorie Taylor Greene exploding in a car.
“You’re not recognizable if something goes wrong,” Trump told the crowd at Georgia Tech.
“If something goes wrong, and Marjorie Taylor Greene with that beautiful blonde hair is driving down the highway in a hydrogen car and the problem with hydrogen cars, if something goes wrong, it’s like the atomic bomb. You’re not recognizable.

The Republican candidate had previously made similar comments about the former racing driver and model while headlining the Turning Point USA rally in Nevada.
After joking about Greene getting blown up in a car, Trump invited her to stand to be recognized by the crowd.
There are currently 17,000 hydrogen cars circulating on the roads of California, the only state that authorizes their use. according to Car & Driver magazine.
The state has a set of rules to ensure that leaking hydrogen is not at risk of exploding, the magazine reports.
