Aldi shoppers are obsessed with a $4.99 item from the supermarket chain’s frozen food section.
The limited-edition item takes two best-selling products, hash browns and onion rings, and blends them into one snack.
Shoppers have described the ring-shaped ‘onion fries’ as elite.
“I’ve tried these and they’re pretty good,” one woman said.
“I loved these; put soft-boiled eggs on top,” one woman suggested.
“Cry gluten free,” another said in the video, sad to miss out on the gift.
Some were confused by the concept.
“So is it more fries or onion rings?” one person asked.

Others were quick to comment on a similar item found in the freezer aisle.
“The potato jewels also have onion, they are very delicious,” said another person.
But others who rushed to buy the rings said they were disappointed.
“I went out and bought these and they didn’t have onions, they were just hash browns with holes in them,” one woman complained.
In the video, the shopper flipped the package over to reveal the dietary information, which made some viewers laugh.
“Macros are the last thing I need when looking at hash brown onion rings,” one man said.
Previously, shoppers were impressed with another limited food item from the German-owned retailer.
The giant pretzels, which tend to be stocked before Oktoberfest every year, were a big hit.
The $6.50 bakery item was described as “tasting like the real thing.”
