British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly has been arrested for alleged sexual assault.
Sexual assault squad detectives arrested Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 29, known as Yung Filly, in Brisbane on Tuesday and extradited him to Perth on Wednesday.
He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at his Perth hotel on September 28 after a performance at Bar1 nightclub in Hillarys, north of Perth.
The rapper, who has more than three million followers on Instagram, had performed at Havana nightclub on the Gold Coast two days before his arrest.
He has been charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault and one count of impeding the normal breathing or circulation of a person by applying pressure to their neck.
Barrientos will face Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The event at Bar1, where Barrientos performed before the alleged attack, marketed the British rapper’s performance as the “ultimate night out.”
‘The event promises to be a perfect combination of spontaneity, humor and music that will keep you talking for weeks!’ MoshTix said.
