M&M’s has launched a new flavor and chocolate fans have mixed opinions.
Some are loving the new milk chocolate pumpkin pie treats, and one food blogger is excited that they’re “100 times better” than the original.
But in the case of X, others complained that it didn’t taste any different. “What a disappointment, because I’m a huge fan of pumpkin spice,” said one.
They are very similar to regular M&S, with a chocolate filling inside a hard candy shell.
The difference is that they come in Halloween-themed colors (orange, black, and white) and have a hint of pumpkin pie flavor.
They come in seven-ounce bags for about $5 at Target, Instacart, and the M&M’s website, but only for a few months.

The new flavor is aimed at candy lovers for the Halloween holiday.
Tim LeBel, president of sales for Mars Wrigley, said, “We celebrate Halloween every day, all year long.”
Food blogger Ali Domrongchai proclaimed the new flavor as ‘100 times better than the original’ on TheKitchn website.
“M&M’s just released a new flavor that’s perfect for fall,” she wrote.
‘Two dessert icons come together and, as you’d expect, it’s a match made in sweet heaven!’
Halloween-themed M&M’s may be a special flavor just for the holidays, but another long-discontinued flavor is making a comeback on shelves.
Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M’s will make a comeback in October after first being introduced fifteen years ago.
“Peanut Butter and Jelly M&M’s are expected to be released soon!” popular food Instagram account CandyHunting reported.
“They have a peanut butter-flavored filling, similar to the 2009 peanut butter and strawberry M&M’s,” the account stated.
M&M’s fans have also expressed their shock at learning about the family drama behind the famous chocolate brand.
The name of the chocolates stands for Mars and Murrie, in honor of chocolate heirs and business collaborators Forrest Mars Sr. and Bruce Murrie.
Bruce was the son of Hershey executive William Murrie, while Forrest was the son of Mars founder Frank C. Mars.

M&M’s come in a variety of different flavors.
Forrest reportedly fell out with his father and later visited Europe, where he allegedly saw people enjoying chocolate covered in a caramel coating.
Not wanting to share his idea with his estranged father, he returned to the US and his family’s rival, Hershey’s.
The resulting chocolate creation combined the names of two collaborators, Mars and Murrie.
