A Chinese zoo has sparked outrage after painting dogs black and white and presenting them as pandas.
A video shared on YouTube shows the puppies with black ears, limbs and ears and dark circles around their eyes.
Visitors said they became suspicious when the pandas began panting in their enclosure.
When questioned, the zoo admitted that they had dyed two Chow Chows, a type of northern Chinese spitz dog with a thick coat.
However, the zoo has denied misleading people as they never claimed the dogs were pandas, instead explaining that they were “panda dogs.”

This comes after the Taizhou Zoo in Jiangsu province also sparked fury in May when it also allegedly dyed two small Chow Chow dogs to look like pandas.
These dogs had their fur clipped before having black and white dye added to their faces and bodies.
The attraction was quickly criticized by locals who accused the zoo of animal cruelty.
The zoo defended the “panda dog” exhibit as it does not have any of the real animals for visitors to see.
The Taizhou Zoo in Jiangsu Province, China, unveiled its latest attraction in May, an exhibit featuring two so-called “panda dogs.”

The zoo’s new residents drew a large crowd during their debut on May 1, but the attraction was quickly criticized by locals who accused the zoo of animal cruelty.
A zoo spokesman said at the time: ‘A lot of people come to visit them and you have to queue.
‘There are no panda bears at the zoo and we wanted to do this as a result.
You can see them between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The spokesperson also responded to the cruelty allegations by saying: “People dye their hair too. Natural dyes can be used on dogs if they have long hair.”
