McDonald’s Australia announces major Happy Meal menu update

McDonald's Australia launched the collectibles on September 5 in restaurants across the country.

Customers can now collect Mario Kart toys at McDonald’s Australia, but only for a limited time.

The fast food giant launched the collectibles on September 5 at restaurants nationwide.

Fans will receive one figure with every Happy Meal purchased and there are ten to collect, including Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Peach, Donkey Kong, a rare golden Mario and more.

Prices start at $5.75 and the Happy Meal comes with a custom box that acts as a garage door to house all the toys.

Sydney foodie Adrian Widjy praised the collectibles in a videoand others were equally enthusiastic about the range.

“I can’t believe I got the golden Mario Kart! I really wanted it,” he said.

“And the box it comes in is super adorable.”

Earlier this year, McDonald’s Australia launched a new treat to keep chicken nugget lovers warm during the winter.

Beginning Wednesday, July 17, diners can score free, limited-edition McDonald’s Ugg ‘Nuggies’ boots as part of the restaurant’s ‘BootPursuit’ giveaway.

This comfortable merchandise has a stylish design and is sure to keep your feet warm.

McDonald’s Australia senior brand manager Liz Whitbread said: ‘There’s a lot of debate about what is the best shape of Chicken McNugget – bone, bell, ball or boot?

‘Crowned as the ultimate sauce icon, we’re celebrating the humble boot-shaped Chicken McNugget by bringing back one of our most sought-after product collections: Nuggies, but this time we’re giving away even more.’
