The engagement follows Brianna’s remarkable performance in Paris, where she won gold in the women’s 4 x 200m freestyle relay alongside teammates Mollie O’Callaghan, Lani Pallister and Ariarne Titmus.

Following her Olympic success, Brianna traveled to Europe, recovering from a calf tear caused by a tennis injury, but determined to enjoy some well-deserved time off.

After first representing Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics, she won gold at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics in the women’s 4 x 100 metre medley relay and claimed a bronze medal in the mixed 4 x 100 metre medley relay.

In recognition of her achievements, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2022.
