Travis Kelce has landed a cameo in the new Happy Gilmore movie

Travis Kelce’s acting career is headed for another major milestone with a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2.

Adam Sandler confirmed the news in an appearance on The Tonight Show, speaking with Jimmy Fallon.

“Travis mentioned it, so we have something nice for him,” Sandler said. “He’s coming.”

“He’s a really nice guy. You’d love him in real life. He’s a big, handsome guy. Awesome. He’s a stud and very funny.”

Kelce is a huge fan of the original film and said earlier this year on his New Heights podcast that he would love to appear in the second film.

“I didn’t know there was an opening,” she told her brother Jason. “I’ll pay extra, anything to go to Happy Gilmore, or an Adam Sandler movie or set, you can count me in.”

“I’ll do whatever I can in the movie. I’ll be involved in it in any way I can.”

Kelce was also photographed wearing a Happy Gilmore cap at Coachella this year when he attended the music festival alongside his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

An open casting call for the shoot in New Jersey was held this week, but it’s still unclear when Kelce will appear.

“We’re getting ready to shoot in New Jersey, we’ll start in a couple of weeks,” Sandler said. “It’s good, we worked hard on the script, we didn’t want to disappoint people.”

‘There are going to be a lot of golfers involved. I have to practice (the Happy Gilmore swing). I tried it and fell. But I’ll be ready when it’s time to hit.’

Kelce is currently preparing for the start of the new NFL season, where his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, are lining up for a historic chance at a third consecutive Super Bowl win.

The Chiefs will play their season opener on September 5 at Arrowhead Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens.

But for Kelce, 34, the news of the cameo marks another step in his acting career as he continues to prepare for a life away from football.

He is also in talks to star in the action comedy film, ‘Loose Cannons,’ according to the Hollywood Reporter.

And the three-time Super Bowl winner also hosts his own game show, Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity, which launches on Amazon Prime in October.

Kelce will also appear in ‘Grotesquerie,’ a new drama series written by Ryan Murphy that will launch on Hulu on September 25.

In May, he revealed his experience filming the show in New Heights, saying: “I feel like an amateur. And I haven’t been fired yet, so we’re doing well.”

“It’s been a lot of fun. Ryan Murphy is an incredible writer, director and producer. There’s nothing I can’t do and everyone has been so helpful in making me feel comfortable.”
