Shocking footage captured the moment a stranger slashed a Tesla tire after the driver double-parked in a busy shopping center car park.
In images captured by the Tesla’s built-in cameras, a young man is seen crouching down before punctured one of the rear tires in the parking lot of Gympie, Queensland.
The man was later seen coming out from behind the electric vehicle to talk to another man and a woman while pointing at the double-parked Tesla.
The owner shared the footage on YouTube and said he planned to press charges.

The man put the key in the car after the Tesla double-parked in a busy car park in Queensland.
“Petty scum slashing our tires,” he captioned the video.
‘This happened to my wife yesterday. Sorry, I should let everyone know. Please (sic) have your details and we will press charges.”
However, some viewers were quick to point out that the driver of the Tesla was also at fault.
“If you double park in the far corner of the mall, that’s fine, but if you do it on purpose near the entrance, you’re scum too,” said one.
“I don’t approve of the cut, but it’s certainly a case of the pot calling the kettle black.”
“So you parked like a jerk and some jerk came and stabbed your tire.” It’s not a tie, but it’s close,” wrote a second.
A third shared: “The Tesla driver deliberately parked that way and in that spot to not allow others to park next to it.” It is a convenient method to avoid leaving marks on doors.
“I don’t approve of the action at all, but people should be more careful with parking, but they shouldn’t go around blowing tires either.”

Last week, the woman had parked the electric vehicle on a residential street in Lindfield, on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, just a short walk from the train station.
She activated ‘sentinel mode’, which uses built-in cameras and sensors to record any suspicious activity around the car, before leaving for work.
The woman was shocked to discover her rear license plate and left rear-view mirror had been destroyed when she returned to her car that night.
He checked the camera footage and saw a man wearing a black sweater, pants and gloves approaching the car while holding a leaf blower.
When Sentry Mode is enabled, Tesla’s built-in cameras and sensors (if equipped) remain on and ready to record suspicious activity around the vehicle when Model 3 is locked and parked.
