A Tesla driver was left shocked after a vicious vandal bent one of her side mirrors and destroyed her rear license plate in a seemingly random attack.
Last week, the woman had parked the electric vehicle on a residential street in Lindfield, on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, just a short walk from the train station.
She activated ‘sentinel mode’, which uses built-in cameras and sensors to record any suspicious activity around the car, before leaving for work.
The woman was shocked to discover her rear license plate and left rear-view mirror had been destroyed when she returned to her car that night.

He checked the camera footage and saw a man wearing a black sweater, black pants and black gloves approaching the car while holding a leaf blower.
The woman shared the video on Facebook, in which the man is seen checking his surroundings before calmly destroying the vehicle.
He was seen standing next to the electric vehicle and bending the side mirror on the left side of the car.
He then approached the Tesla from behind and bent the license plate, causing its holder to lift off the vehicle.
Later that night, the man returned to continue his act of vandalism.
He had a jacket and a bag on his shoulder as he deformed the other side of the rear license plate.
‘This is why I keep Sentinel Mode on at all times!’ wrote the outraged Tesla driver.
‘Just a normal day of street parking near the train station.
“One of the owners of the house did this.”
Viewers were quick to admonish the vandal in the comments, with many urging the driver to contact the police.

‘What’s wrong with people? “This is just horrible behavior,” wrote another.
Another said the man was a “larva.”
The woman said she had reported the incident to the police.
