‘In the past, we’ve experimented with some ice cream flavors, like last year’s Cookies and Cream mud pie. It was a success.

‘By bringing together delicious chocolate and honeycomb, we hope everyone can enjoy this sweet treat, whether as a convenient dessert or as part of a larger celebration cake masterpiece. As the name suggests, that’s what it’s all about.’

The latest purchase costs $7 and will only be available for a limited time.

Every year, Woolworths sells a whopping 2.6 million mud cakes, or five a minute.

The Melbourne foodie who goes by the TikTok nickname @nectoriouspapi rushed to purchase the dessert and praised it online.

‘This is delicious. As always, the mud pies at Woolies are elite,” she said in a video.

‘There are hokey pokey pieces on top covered in milk chocolate and there are also some sweet caramel flavored pieces, which are really good.

‘Overall, moist, delicious, rich, appetizing, all the good stuff. A big yes from me.’
