A boy was airlifted to hospital in critical condition after being hit by a car while crossing the street.
The 10-year-old boy was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing at Police Road and Hansworth Street in Mulgrave, Melbourne, at 4.30pm on Friday.
Paramedics were called to the scene before an air ambulance took him to Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital.

Multiple The eastbound and westbound lanes on Police Road were closed on Friday night and Victoria Police is urging all drivers to avoid the area.
Traffic is being diverted through the car park, according to a VicTraffic alert.
Police have launched an investigation into how the boy was beaten.
