Zoe Saldana looked stylish on Saturday while speaking on stage at the 68th BFI London Film Festival about her new film Emilia Pérez.
The 46-year-old actress, who plays lawyer Rita Moro Castro in the Netflix film, wore an elegant gray plaid suit consisting of a single-breasted jacket and tailored flared pants.
Speaking about taking on the role of Rita, Zoe told the panel, according to Deadline: ‘It was important to understand where Rita came from and who she really was.
‘To me, she is a person who does not have the courage to speak for herself. She doesn’t have enough work, she’s ignored, and she’s desperate for a change, but she wants power, she wants influence, and she wants success.
“So understanding that this was a Faustian deal that she was going to accept immediately, and never look back, was important to me, because she goes through a transition too.
“It’s not as obviously heightened and intense and rich as Emilia’s (transition), but she really sheds this old skin and becomes a different person when Emilia meets her again three years later.”
