The journey towards launching the brand began in 2022 with what Leighton describes as a series of “perfectly timed events” that led him to take the leap and decide to build his brand.
‘Coming from an industry where we love to create, build and get our hands dirty, my approach to starting my skincare brand was no different. Every aspect of our business, from formulation to manufacturing and distribution, has been done in-house, something I’m incredibly proud of, especially as the skincare market is definitely oversaturated with a lot of unoriginality.’
The brand rejects the move away that many beauty brands have made from botanical oils
Although some brands have stopped using botanical oils in skin care because they can cause irritation in some skin types, Leighton said her research “ultimately led me down the path of oil-based skin care and the benefits of “Use botanical oils to nourish and nourish the skin.” skin, which really went out of fashion.
“I almost compare it to the rise and fall of margarine.”
