A fed up Essendon fan broke down after receiving a tirade of abuse from a Collingwood supporter while returning home on a packed train after the Anzac Day clash at the MCG.

Footage of the incident showing a Dons fan receiving a verbal spanking from what appears to be a younger man wearing a Magpies scarf has been uploaded to social media and widely shared.

‘Well, four eyes!’ The Collingwood supporter could be heard shouting during the video clip as the pair exchanged barbs.

The Bombers fan shook off the childish comment and asked how old the other passenger was.

‘Up with the cakes, 2023!’ shouted the Collingwood supporter, referencing his team’s premiership victory last year.

The Dons fan responded: “We’re 10 years away from the flag, at least I’m honest.”

The Collingwood supporter then escalated his abuse to a higher level.

‘Ten years! “Then you won’t be alive, you damn obese,” he shouted.

Other passengers on the train reacted strongly to the comment and told the Collingwood supporter to calm down.

The Dons fan snapped and stood up to return fire with a sharp response.

‘Yes, I’m fucking obese!’ The Scream.

‘Who cares! I’m proud to be fat!’

Other passengers could then be seen trying to get between the feuding football fans and calm the situation by reminding everyone it was Anzac Day.

Essendon’s Kyle Langford missed a relatively easy shot in the closing stages to ensure the Bombers drew level with Collingwood in an Anzac Day classic in front of 93,644 fans at the MCG.

Langford, who scored four goals, including two in a vibrant fourth quarter, had a chance to win the game after scoring with less than two minutes remaining.

But the Bombers striker fired in from 30 meters away, leveling the scores at 12.13 (85) apiece, to complete the first tie on Anzac Day since the inaugural blockbuster in 1995.

Collingwood had the chance to win the match when they immediately threw the ball towards the other end, but Magpies striker Jamie Elliott dropped a mark near the boundary, about 50 meters away.

Essendon tried to go again but were unable to return the ball within their front 50 before the siren sounded.
