The highest-paid daytime presenter on TV has been revealed, reportedly pocketing more than half a million pounds in 2023, despite only appearing in 99 of his show’s 173 episodes.
Lorraine Kelly, who hosts the eponymous daytime show Lorraine on ITV, is estimated to have earned $568,000 in 2023.
The 64-year-old Scot paid £108,000 in tax for the year to December 2023, an amount that can be extrapolated to her earnings of £568,000.
In addition to this, Lorraine’s personal services company, Albatel, has assets including £3.1m in the bank, all according to The sun.
News of Lorraine’s wealth will upset many who complain about her continued absence.

Addressing more ITV stars, The Sun revealed that Loose Women main panellist Ruth Langsford, who saw her net worth fall from £3.3m to £1.9m, is experiencing a drop in her wealth.
This Morning mainstay Cat Deeley is believed to be worth around £13million, with an annual salary of £550,000.
However, her fragrance brand, e11even, is not doing so well, with its accounts showing debts of £76,000.
Her rotating co-workers Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary are worth £139,000 and £2.7m respectively.
In February, Lorraine spoke out for the first time after discovering a Twitter account that criticised her work ethic.
The account, called Where’s Lorraine? and with the username @LorraineKWatch, updates its followers on whether or not the Scottish star hosted the show that day.
Viewers were left baffled when the TV presenter disappeared from her show but later appeared on This Morning.
While Ranvir Singh was filling in for Lorraine, Lorraine set the record straight by taking to the Twitter account dedicated to tracking her days off.

Speaking on Woman’s Hour with presenter Anita Rani, Lorraine defiantly said of the account, which now has almost 19,000 followers: “I know, the amount of space I take up in people’s heads is quite strange.”
Insisting that the bill does not bother her, she explained: “It’s fine. It doesn’t bother me, I don’t care. I probably would have cared before, but now I don’t really care. It’s absolutely fine.”
The star went on to explain the real reason she’s been absent from several shows lately, as she was taking time off to care for her mother, who is unwell.
Lorraine continued: ‘But you should never comment on things like that if you don’t know what’s going on in people’s lives, but I have to take quite a few Fridays off because my mum’s really unwell.
“I can now go home and spend more time with her and help her a little bit more than I have been able to do before. That’s what’s happening now, but that will change.
‘I’ve been working five days a week for 40 years so I’m just taking a bit of time off and obviously this week is half term so I can talk to you!’
Heartbroken Lorraine rushed to her elderly mother’s bedside in July 2023 after Anne was admitted to Monklands University Hospital in Lanarkshire.
She last gave an update on her health in May, writing on Instagram: ‘Mommy continues to defy everything and everyone!
In February, Lorraine revealed she was frequently absent from her show to care for her ailing mother, Anne, 81 (both pictured in May).
“I took her out for lunch in Glasgow and we had a blast. We even got to go for a little walk. She is the very definition of indomitable! I’m so proud of her.”
Lorraine also shared an update on the health of her “brave” mother Anne, 81, in March.
Taking to Instagram for Mother’s Day, Lorraine wrote: ‘Happy Mother’s Day to my brave and lovely mum, who faces a difficult illness and can still (occasionally) say cheers! And always lives each day to the fullest!’
Lorraine has not revealed Anne’s illness.
