Amid Taylor Swift’s two-game absence from the Kansas City Chiefs suite, Travis Kelce’s best friend Aric Jones opened up about welcoming the pop star into his circle of friends.
After being in the Chiefs’ first two games this season in his 14th and 15th appearances, Swift was absent during Kelce’s road games in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Speaking to Page Six, Jones spoke about the 14-time Grammy winner’s impact on the tight end and group of friends.
“I’m never going to downplay (the hype) or say that (the new attention) isn’t the best thing in the world,” Jones told the publication.
‘But at the same time, all we have to do is be ourselves. And the only thing that has changed is that there is now a camera in the suite.

Aric Jones and Kelce have been friends since they were kindergarteners in Cleveland Heights.
Jones and Kelce have been friends since they were kindergartners playing for the same hockey team in Cleveland Heights. They’ve stayed close ever since, and Jones is one of Kelce’s inner circle friends who sits in the private suite every Sunday.
When he’s not cheering on his childhood best friend in Arrowhead, Jones runs his clothing and lifestyle brand, Homebred Legends. She founded the brand in 2017 and dedicated her designs to the spirit of Heights.
Kelce has been seen wearing loungewear on the New Heights podcast and wore one of the brand’s trucker hats with his Lanvin apparel while arriving at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ home opener on September 5.
“I wanted to do something that represented me and my friends in my hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio,” Jones explained. ‘Travis and Jason (Kelce) are also great spokespeople for the city. So we are very proud of where we come from.”

While she didn’t seek out Swift to rock one of her pieces like her boyfriend does, Jones praised Swift’s individuality and her willingness to be one of the guys when it comes to being at the games.
“Taylor is great,” Jones said. ‘Taylor is her own woman. And if Taylor wants to join us in the theme nights, of course we welcome her.’
‘But at the end of the day, just having her there and having her presence there is incredible. She’s there to cheer up her boyfriend and hang out with us, and to be honest, that’s enough.
