Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma, who is celebrating his 43rd birthday today, received the cutest birthday wish from his friend Sunil Grover. Sunil, who starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan last year, posted a picture with Kapil Sharma on his X handle and wished him “health, happiness and joy” on his birthday. “Congratulations @KapilSharmaK9 pah ji. For the unversed, comedians Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover recently joined forces for the Netflix project The Great Indian Kapil Show. Sunil Grover was previously seen in Kapil Sharma’s shows like Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. However, Sunil Grover left the show following an alleged incident where Kapil Sharma allegedly assaulted him during a flight from Melbourne in 2017. The two have not worked together since.
In a 2017 interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kapil Sharma opened up about the flight incident. He had said, “I admit there was a problem. And I paid a high price for it. But what was reported was grossly exaggerated and almost entirely fabricated. It was said that I asked for the food to be served to me first. flight and that I got angry and threw a shoe at Sunil. All these stories of shoe throwing and tantrums started in a section of digital media.”
After Sunil Grover stopped appearing on the show, Kapil Sharma publicly apologized on X (formerly known as Twitter). The star wrote, “Paji Sunil Grover, sorry if I hurt you unintentionally. You know very well how much I love you. I’m angry too. love and greetings always :)”
While reacting to Kapil Sharma’s apology, Sunil Grover shared a note about X. He said, “Bha ji! Yes, you hurt me deeply. Working with you has been a learning experience. Just one piece of advice: start respecting people, even apart from animals. Not all of them are as successful as you. Not all of them are as talented as you. But if they are all as talented as you, who will appreciate you? So be grateful for their existence. And also: if someone corrects you, don’t take advantage of that person.”
“Do not use foul language. In the presence of women who have nothing to do with the stardom you carry, they just happen to travel with you. Thank you for making me realize that it was your show and that you have the power to kick out anyone, at any time. You are the funniest and the best in your field. But don’t act like a ‘God’. Take care of yourself. I wish you much more success and fame,” Sunil Grover added.
Coming back to Kapil Sharma, he played the lead role Zwigato last year.
