Amsterdam police have released video of a suspected drug dealer stabbing a British tourist in the city’s Red Light District in March.
Police have asked the public to help identify the suspect in the violent attack, calling the incident “a very intense and violent case.”
According to a local media outlet, AT 5, The Briton and his girlfriend were walking back to their hotel on March 23 after visiting a pub, when a dealer approached them and asked if they wanted to buy drugs.
In the video, the attacker can be seen becoming aggressive after the couple rejected his offer to sell them drugs.
The woman proceeded to push him, which escalated the altercation.
His partner then intervened, prompting the trafficker to stab him.

After the brutal assault, the attacker managed to flee and disappeared into the crowd of the busy Red Light District.
The Briton reportedly suffered serious injuries and spent several days in hospital after undergoing emergency surgery.
This is not the only violent attack suffered by a British tourist in Amsterdam.

The pair were captured on CCTV by the Singel about 30 minutes later, where Nongo is said to have carried out a savage attack with a sword.
He is said to have dragged Castledine’s body to the side of the road in an attempt to get rid of evidence before fleeing the scene.
Castledine’s body was discovered by horrified revelers around 3:30 a.m., prosecutors said.
The paramedics went to the scene but could not revive the Englishman.
