A Thai teacher has been banned from the classroom for life after filming pornography during her classes.

The student teacher, who has not yet been identified, pointed a camera at herself during a lesson at Ban Bua Chum primary school in Thailand’s Lopburi province, north of Bangkok.

In the video that went viral on Thai social media, she lifted up her skirt for her viewers while reading a book to her class.

She was livestreaming via the Bigo platform and courting viewers into giving her tokens in exchange for lewd acts, which she could then redeem for money.

Local media reported that this was not the only time she live-streamed a class, and the investigation into the trainee led to her dismissal on June 28, according to the school’s director.

And the Teachers’ Council of Thailand has struck her off the register for violating a statute that prohibits educational figures from “being persons with dishonourable behaviour or lacking good morals”.

While it is not known whether Thai police are investigating the incident, the country’s police have a history of cracking down on teachers who commit indecent acts.

Earlier this year, a British teacher was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage student 10 years ago in Thailand.

The 38-year-old suspect, identified by police under the pseudonym “Tyler”, allegedly took a 16-year-old foreign student to his home in Phuket to “commit indecent acts” on two occasions in 2014 and 2015.

The schoolgirl reported the alleged abuse to her parents, who say they decided to wait until she left school and graduated before filing a complaint with police.

Upon learning of the alleged sexual offense, the school immediately terminated Tyler’s contract and police began an investigation to gather evidence for a warrant.

However, the Briton is said to have moved to the northern province of Chiang Mai, evading arrest.

That was until police, acting on a warrant from the Phuket Provincial Court, tracked down and arrested Tyler on January 31 at his Thai wife’s home in Chiang Mai, where he has been since 2016.

The Immigration Bureau said Tyler had entered Thailand in 2014 and found a job at a private school on the island of Phuket.

The alleged assault was reported to have occurred at his Phuket residence on December 9, 2014, and again on April 2, 2015.

A spokesman said: ‘Mr Tyler, aged 38 and a British national, was arrested by Immigration Services for causing a minor to commit an indecent act.

‘A warrant of arrest was issued for him in Phuket for taking a minor between the age of fifteen and eighteen years from her parent, guardian or carer without justification on the grounds of indecency.’
