Stranger Things co-creator Ross Duffer and his wife Leigh Janiak have split.
On Friday, it was reported that his wife, the film director, 44, filed for divorce from the showrunner, 40, after nearly a decade of marriage.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZcited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce, but the date of the separation has not yet been revealed.
This comes shortly after the fifth and final season of Stranger Things began production after being delayed by the Hollywood strikes.
The former couple met in 2006 while working at a Los Angeles production company alongside Janiak as a production assistant while Duffer was an intern.

A year after getting married, Duffer and her twin brother Matt released the Netflix sci-fi thriller series Stranger Things.
The duo is often credited as the Duffer Brothers.
The twins also co-wrote and co-directed a 2015 horror mystery titled Hidden, starring Alexander Skarsgård alongside Andrea Riseborough.
Just weeks earlier, Duffer and the cast and crew of Stranger Things began production on the fifth and final season.
Filming was initially scheduled for last year, but was ultimately delayed due to Hollywood strikes.
The scripts had been finalized, but the Duffer brothers chose to postpone production because they wanted writers on set during filming.
