Sticky Fingers frontman Dylan Frost (pictured) has pleaded guilty to allegedly stealing a packet of roast chicken and a bottle of iced coffee from a Woolworths store in Sydney.

A popular indie rock frontman accused of stealing from a busy supermarket has indicated he will fight the charge.

Sticky Fingers singer Dylan Frost, 34, pleaded not guilty to a charge of shoplifting when the matter was first mentioned in his absence at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday.

He allegedly stole half a roast chicken and an iced coffee from Woolworths Metro in Haymarket in Sydney’s CBD on June 27, according to court documents.

The roast chicken costs $6.50 while the Ice Break Double Espresso costs $2.65.

Frost’s pregnant girlfriend, Elyssa Ford, 23, has also been charged with one count of shoplifting after she allegedly stole a package of Life Savers Raspberry Stix from the store on the same days.

The couple did not attend Monday’s court hearing, according to the The Telegraph newspaper reported.

Ford has not yet entered a plea to the theft charge.

The recorder told the court that Frost and Ford had submitted separate arguments as to why they could not attend Monday’s mention.

Frost is currently undergoing a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and is believed to be living in Queensland.

The court heard Ford splits her time between New South Wales and Queensland and was unable to attend the hearing because she is pregnant and currently has other health issues.

The registrar accepted Frost’s not guilty plea and adjourned his case until September 30 for evidence to be filed.

The registry adjourned Ford’s case for two weeks and said she should notify the court of her plea if she is unable to attend.

Sticky Fingers formed in 2008 in Sydney as an independent band and includes Frost and Paddy Cornwall as lead vocalists.

The group quickly rose to fame and released three top five albums and also earned ARIA platinum albums and gold plaques.

The band has also been streamed 1 billion times on Spotify.

Frost and the group have been embroiled in controversy in recent years that resulted in the band being banned from performing at the annual Bluesfest music festival in 2023.

The controversial move came after Frost was accused of abusive and threatening behaviour.

He allegedly assaulted and threatened Australian singer Thelma Plum and her boyfriend outside a Sydney pub in 2016.

Frost allegedly made racist remarks at a concert later that year, however he publicly denied making such comments.

Frost said in a statement that he is “totally against racism” and apologized for his past behavior.

“I also have to acknowledge that my past drinking behavior has intimidated or made people around me feel unsafe, and I am deeply sorry for that,” he said.
