Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has resigned as director of his personal company.
His company, ACF Sports Promotions Ltd, has amassed £24.3 million in assets and investments.
Some of those assets include a collection of sports memorabilia with an estimated value of more than £2 million which is displayed in several museums and universities.
The company also has an investment portfolio of £19m and cash reserves of £5.1m.
Ferguson had founded the company in 1983 when he was manager of Aberdeen, three years before beginning his 26-year reign at Man United.

His sons Darren (left), Mark (second left) and Jason (right) are listed as having significant control of the business.
His wife, Lady Cathy, also served as director until her death last year.
Latest filings with Companies House have revealed that Ferguson resigned as a director on 29 October.
His sons Jason and Darren, who manages Peterborough United, had resigned a day earlier.
Mark Ferguson, however, remains a director and was appointed to the company along with his brothers in November 2012.
Jason, Darren and Mark are listed as having significant control, with the three brothers holding shares of “more than 25% but not more than 50%.”
“All the changes in the way the company is run point to Sir Alex starting to slow down and take a back seat when it comes to his business,” he said. Mirror quoted a source as saying.
‘And who can blame him now that he is approaching 80 years old? The company is in poor health and is in the very safe hands of its children.
Ferguson saw an ambassadorial role at Man United scrapped last month by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Ferguson’s decision to resign as manager comes a week after Ineos sacked the legendary Man United manager as the club’s ambassador.
Ferguson, who won 38 trophies in 26 years, signed an agreement after his retirement in 2013 to continue as the club’s ambassador and global director. In the 2014 accounts, United said Ferguson, 82, received £2.16m for his services.
His multimillion-dollar ambassador role was ended by the club’s new co-owner, INEOS, as part of a wide-ranging cost-cutting programme.
The move divided opinion, with several prominent former Man United players criticizing the decision.
