Single women share the hilarious and “crazy” reasons why a man “won’t match” them on a dating app.
From small differences to downright weird, women say many men have revealed their petty issues and cut ties on apps before even meeting in person.
One woman said she was rejected for not having a diving license and another claimed a man rejected her for dating multiple people, even though he was doing the same thing.
Singles can start messaging each other when they match on dating apps like Tinder, Feeld or Bumble, but if one person decides they don’t like where the chat is going, they can cut off “unmatched” contact.
“Let’s hear it, ladies: ‘A guy can’t match me because…”‘ a woman asked in a Facebook group, generating hundreds of responses.
Women share the strangest reasons why men don’t match them on dating apps. One said she was rejected because her text messages appeared in green, which indicated that she did not have an iPhone.
Many women said they had been rejected on applications for innocuous reasons, such as never having visited a certain place or having different tastes in music.
“One guy didn’t match me because I don’t know how to swim,” one woman said, and another responded, “He heard my smoke alarm go off.”
“I like Dave Matthews Band,” wrote a third.
“A guy incomparable to me because I have ever been to Mexico City,” laughed a fourth.
“I didn’t have a diving license,” someone added.
A woman said she started texting a guy, but he blocked her when her text message appeared on his iPhone in green, the color Apple designates for non-iPhone users.
Someone said they were blocked after sharing their star sign and one user claims to have been unmatched for not eating meat.
“Since I’m a babysitter, apparently that’s not a real job,” one woman responded.
One woman said she was rejected for not having a diving license and another claimed a man rejected her for dating multiple people, even though he was doing the same thing.
“He asked me if I knew how to cook and I said, ‘Yes, I actually cook very well,’ and he couldn’t help me,” another responded.
“I don’t like the beach,” said a third, while a fourth added: “I don’t play video games or smoke.”
One app user said a man wasn’t sure how self-sufficient she was, so he turned it around.
‘He said he didn’t like how free and independent I am. I sent him a screenshot of one of my invoices and told him I didn’t want to be independent anymore and he blocked me from everything,” she explained.
Many men were quick to disengage because the woman wanted to take things slower than him.
‘I refused to send nudes. “This has happened on Feeld more times than I can count,” one user wrote.
Other reasons for not being compatible include having a pet cat, having the wrong zodiac sign, and not eating meat.
“I wanted to talk for more than a day on the app before giving him my number, Snapchat or Instagram,” said a second.
“He asked me if we could get together for ‘bang bang time’ (his words) and I said, ‘No thanks,'” a third recalled.
Height was a hot topic: One dater was rejected for not being “at least” 5ft 6in and another for being too tall at 5ft 10in.
Many said they had no rival for not drinking alcohol, while some said a man did not approve of their work.
‘I’m allergic to avocado, another because I have a cat,’ someone said.
“I pointed out that he follows thousands of half-naked influential women,” a third wrote.
