Simone spoke about how “feeling” her pain helped her find the “courage” to move forward while talking about how she and her children have learned to live with their pain.

She said: “Death happens to all of us, it makes you even more grateful, when you’ve experienced it, to live for yourself and the people you love, that’s what we’ve tried to carry with us since Shane’s passing.”

“If I hadn’t gone through (what I’ve been through), I wouldn’t have received the lessons of life and maybe I wouldn’t have been as strong as I am now. It’s taught me to stand in my own power and have the courage. To keep moving forward , you have to feel it to heal it.’
