Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant continued his stellar recovery and smashed his second consecutive half-century as the team was defeated by Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday. Pant did his best as the Delhi Capitals chased a mammoth target of 273 runs against the two-time champions in Vizag. While Pant’s side fell short of the target by a huge margin (106) runs, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan tried to improve the DC skipper’s mood after the match. SRK and Pant had a candid conversation on the ground after the match ended, which made fans emotional.
SRK, impressed by Pant’s stunning return to form just 14 months after he was involved in a near-fatal car accident. The Bollywood legend expressed his admiration to Pant as the two entertainers shared a beautiful moment on the field.

After the match, Pant admitted that the entire team needs to step up and deliver results after winning just one match in four matches in the IPL 2024 campaign.
“We were just all over the place (with the ball), we could have done better, and it’s one of those days I think. As a hitting unit we talked about going hard (after the goal) and that’s how we’re approaching it. ” these games because it’s better to go all out and go for the total than not to go after it. It was quite loud (the location) and the timer couldn’t be seen on the screen (talking about the non-DRS moments) and there was also a problem with the screen. There are some things you can control and others you can’t, you just have to go with the flow.
“Time to think better as a team, as an individual and come back strong in the next match. I am enjoying every day (talking about his fitness and comeback) and cricket has its own ups and downs, and at the same time you can as an individual try to give your best,” the wicketkeeper-batsman said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
Thanks to the loss against KKR, DC is in 9th place in the 10-team points table.
