Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is already preparing for his post-playing career in television, and the football player is preparing to host a game show reboot.
Kelce to Host Resurrection of ‘Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?’ – but it looks like the format will change slightly.
According to US Weekly, the 34-year-old will be considered the host of the show that will be tentatively titled “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”
Kelce will take over the role previously played by comedian Jeff Foxworthy when the show initially aired on FOX from 2007 to 2009.
This won’t be the first time the show will be rebooted, as Foxworthy brought back a revival version of the series in 2015.

In 2019, the show switched networks to Nickelodeon, where it aired for one season hosted by WWE superstar John Cena.
The Kelce reboot will air on the paid streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
The new format will feature contestants facing off against a group of three celebrities, rather than the previous panel of children in primary school.
US Weely says Kelce will begin rehearsals and media preparation in the coming weeks, with production beginning in the summer.
Initial reports from Deadline in March indicated that while Kelce had been cast, his potential involvement in the project was not a done deal and that he may lack availability to host the show.
But reports from US Weekly seem to indicate that’s not the case.
It may come as a surprise to some that Kelce was tapped for hosting duties, but USA says the agreement to do this was made “long before Travis’ profile was raised, and now he has to honor the contract.
“(They will film) several test episodes and really adjust the show and Kelce so that this doesn’t embarrass him.”
Kelce’s show will have a twist: celebrities instead of children will be on the panel.

He also helped his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, to consecutive Super Bowl titles.
This, of course, won’t be Kelce’s first exposure to the world of television, as he was previously the subject of a dating show, ‘Catching Kelce,’ and also hosted Saturday Night Live last year.
Since then, Kelce’s life has been a whirlwind. Her podcast ‘New Heights’ with her brother Jason has become a huge hit and was even nominated for two Webby Awards.
On the field, he won consecutive Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.
And of course, waiting for him on the field was his now girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The couple became he history surrounding the NFL last season and they have still managed to capture attention in the offseason.
Travis and Taylor have remained close, traveling to various exotic locations such as Singapore and the Bahamas, while taking some time away from their busy jobs.
