A police investigation has been launched after a hidden camera was found in the girls’ locker room at a Queensland primary school.
Teachers were alerted after a student discovered the webcam, which was hidden in the Brisbane Primary School pool changing room.
Nearly two weeks ago, an email was sent to parents confirming that a camera had been found on school grounds, saying that “the safety and well-being of your children remains the school’s top priority.”
Parents were also asked to “consider refraining from commenting on the issue on social media or other forums.”
One outraged father, who cannot be named for legal reasons, described it as “the sickest thing you can do”.
Teachers were alerted after a student discovered the webcam, which was hidden in the pool changing room of a primary school in Brisbane.

He said parents have not received more information about how the camera got there and called on the school to be more transparent.
Parents say they don’t know how long the device was there and how many children may have been captured on video.
“A sick person has entered my daughter’s school, a place where they should be safe and learn,” he said. 9NEWS.
“We got no answers, no one tells us anything, it’s just wrong.”
Queensland Police told Daily Mail Australia that investigations are ongoing.
“Investigations found no evidence of images or recordings and there was no SD card in the camera,” they said.
Police are urging anyone with information that could help investigators to come forward.
