A 38-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing his 73-year-old mother to death and leaving her body in the street in a tragic incident that has shocked the community of Arnold, Pennsylvania.
On Sunday, August 4th, the Westmoreland County District AttorneyThe sheriff’s office said Arnold police responded to a 911 call made by Brian Rebold, who confessed to stabbing someone on Liberty Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Rebold’s mother, Diana Rebold, lying unconscious in the street, “bleeding profusely from the head” and suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts to save her, Diana was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal attack was witnessed by neighbors, who quickly alerted authorities and provided critical information about what happened. Arnold Police Chief Josh Stanga told KDKA-TV Officers found Brian Rebold near his mother’s body, where he admitted to committing the horrific crime.
