Nottingham Forest have criticized three “extremely poor decisions” regarding penalties that were not awarded in their favor in their 2-0 defeat to Everton.
The Midlands club, at the heart of a relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League, claimed they had warned PGMOL about the bias of a VAR official.
Forest also warned they would “consider their options” after the defeat at Goodison Park.
On X (formerly Twitter), the club wrote: ‘Three terrible decisions – three unsanctioned penalties – that we simply cannot accept.
“We notified the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the match but they did not change it. Our patience has been tested several times.

mail sports Mike Keegan wrote in X: ‘Perhaps it is not surprising that the FA are investigating Forest’s tweet. While a point deduction is unlikely, a hefty fine is not.
Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo revealed after the match: “I don’t understand the reason for Anthony Taylor and VAR’s decisions because I see the footage.
“But this is a general feeling that has been with us, we are trying to ignore it and many times it repeats bad decisions against us, it does not mock us.
‘Even taking things away from us, it’s very difficult to control. The players and I try to focus on football because it has been very hard.
‘The situation we are in does not help, now we have some stress and fear but it is not an excuse. It has become clear what is happening to us, not only in this game.
‘I have seen the images. It’s hard to accept. It’s a pen on Gio Reyna, it’s a kick, it’s a hand and it is understandable that we are proactive as a club because we want things to be good.
‘We don’t want bad referees, we want good decisions. “If we lose because of a bad performance, we accept it, but the decisions are disappointing.”
Jamie Carragher agreed that Nottingham Forest should have been awarded a penalty after the ball hit Everton’s Ashley Young in the arm, but was deemed to be in a “natural position” for his move at the time.
After the match, Carragher said: “It tells you where we are with the PL. Stuart Atwell and Anthony Taylor have had a terrible day today and should rightly be criticized for it.
‘I feel frustrated, but that’s like a fan in a pub. That’s disgraceful of Nottingham Forest. Rubbish, about the VAR, a Luton fan, you need to show some class.
“I understand it, the frustration, the officials had a terrible day, but that’s nonsense, you can’t get involved in that.”
VAR official Stuart Atwell was criticized by Carragher after the final whistle.
He later added: “Horrible of Stuart Atwell.” He has to help Anthony Taylor.
‘I can’t not come back to this tweet. That last line, what options, are you going to stop playing, are you going to check all the officials in the country and they can’t be in these games?
Nottingham Forest can find out this month whether they will regain any of the four points they lost for breaching the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.
Forest appealed the punishment and Mail Sport previously revealed the hearing will begin next week.
