Noah Lyles WINS the Olympic 100m final as the American sprint star claims his first gold medal in an incredible photo finish over Jamaican Kishane Thompson

Noah Lyles is an Olympic champion for the first time after claiming glory in the men’s 100m final.

Lyles, who had to settle for second place in her semi-final earlier in the day, claimed her first Olympic gold with a time of 9.79 seconds.

It marks the best moment of the 27-year-old’s career, following a bronze medal at the Tokyo Games in 2021.

He defeated Jamaica’s K. Thompson with a score of 9.79 seconds, while compatriot F. Kerley came in third to win the bronze medal (9.81 seconds).
