A gripping new feature-length documentary, Revealed: Bribe, Inc., starring multi-award-winning investigative journalist Nick McKenzie (pictured), premieres on Stan on Sunday.

A new documentary coming to Stan this month exposes one of the biggest bribery scandals in history.

The documentary is directed by award-winning journalist Nick McKenzie and chronicles his global investigation into the bribery, crime and corruption rife in the oil industry, and the company owned by the Monaco-based Ahsani family at the center of it all. .

The investigation came to light after McKenzie helped squash open bribery allegations at Australian engineering giant Leighton Holdings (now CIMC).

McKenzie revealed: ‘This story began with an anonymous letter in the mail and led to one of the world’s largest international bribery investigations.

‘This documentary takes people inside what was an incredible adventure of investigative journalism.

From the outside, the Ahsani family’s Unaoil company had a highly respected veneer: They hosted glittering fundraising events and hobnobbed with royalty and politicians, dressed in designer clothes.

Armed with 317,000 leaked files, McKenzie and Figaro delved into the business dealings of the secretive Ahsani family: Ata Ahsani and her children Cyrus and Saman.

The family had created the illusion of being generous and above reproach and had long denied any involvement in corrupt activities.

McKenzie then received information from a former whistleblowing employee known only as ‘Figaro’.

This sparked the largest allegation of bribery and corruption in modern history.

Armed with 317,000 leaked files, McKenzie and Figaro delved into the business dealings of the secretive Ahsani family: Ata Ahsani and her children Cyrus and Saman.

The pair discovered that Unaoil had paid multi-million pound bribes to some of the largest companies in Europe, North America and Australia.

The documentary revealed how McKenzie and Figaro untangled Ahsani’s web of deception.

They tracked the money trail and pursued the criminals in an exhaustive manhunt that spanned the globe, from Iraq to Monaco, Rome, London, Australia and the United States.

The investigation eventually involved the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI, and sparked a $12 million police investigation as authorities worked tirelessly to bring the Ahsani family to justice.

Revealed: Bribe, Inc. is the eleventh in Stan’s Revealed series and the fourth led by McKenzie.

The 14-time Walkley Award winner had previously produced Ben Roberts-Smith: Truth On Trial, Trafficked and Amongst Us: Neo Nazi Australia for Stan.

Revealed: Bribe, Inc premieres November 3 on Stan.
