Nadia Bartel says she’s proud of her Dancing With The Stars career, despite an unexpected and premature ending on Sunday night.
The fashion influencer spoke about her experience in an interview with The Herald of the Sunreflecting on the ups and downs of her time on the show.
Nadia, who admitted to suffering from stage fright during her first performance, managed to find her groove in her second routine before her surprise elimination.
“I was in a good frame of mind and literally right before I went out I got really nervous,” she said.
The former WAG explained how she tried to mentally prepare for her second dance.
“I was trying to prepare myself so I wouldn’t have that feeling again, but when you have to stand there for a minute before you perform, those moments were really hard for me. I definitely handled it better the second time around and enjoyed what I had to do.”
Although she is disappointed by her early departure, Nadia said she chose to focus on the positive aspects of her experience.
“I really wanted to learn to dance, it’s not the best feeling, but I see all the positives,” she said.

Now that her time on the dance floor is behind her, Nadia is turning her attention to her business ventures.
The founder of fashion label Henne is focusing on expanding her brand, with new stores in Sydney and Melbourne, and plans for a third store likely in Melbourne.
The former WAG found herself in the bottom two pairings alongside AFL bad boy Ben Cousins and they were forced to face off in a thrilling dance-off.

The judges opted to spare Cousins that night because he “had the most growth potential,” according to veteran judge Mark Wilson.
Nadia looked heartbroken by the decision, but looked graceful in defeat.
“I love doing difficult things, and this has been difficult for me,” said a dejected Nadia, standing alongside her teammate Lyu Masuda.
“It’s been great and I’ve had an amazing dance partner,” she continued.
“It’s been nice to try something new. It’s been fun.”
Earlier in the show, Nadia left much to be desired when he went out on the dance floor to dance a tango with his partner Lyu Masuda.
“It was very, very weak. It was very chaotic,” judge Craig Revel Horwood said, adding: “It lacked drama or passion.”
Judge Sharna Burgess soon echoed her sentiment, calling the performance “sloppy.”
“I think you need to start with some strength and tone in your body. You need to start from the core of your body and be able to transmit that strength and tone to all the muscles,” Sharna advised.
‘Without that, all those details you work on get lost and it starts to look… sloppy.
“And you don’t want that, you’re not working for Sloppy. I see how hard you’re working,” Sharna added.
This comes a week after the judge harshly criticized Nadia’s cha-cha.
The judges opted to save Ben Cousins that night as he “had the most growth potential,” according to veteran judge Mark Wilson.
“It had no rhythm, it lacked dynamism. There was no hip movement or leg movement at all, so it didn’t look like a cha-cha,” Craig said.
“To me it was very pedestrian, like you were literally walking through the streets, stomping. You sold it well, with the hair movements,” she added.
The audience booed the judge’s comments, to which he replied: “Oh, shut up!”
Judge Sharna Burgess intervened and said she liked Nadia’s “sexy swagger” but admitted she had work to do.
