Tim Walz was photographed enjoying his election loss with his cat by his side while sitting at his Minnesota home, while his daughter insisted he will be fine.
The failed vice presidential candidate wore a sweatshirt, gray pants and sneakers as he lounged around, with his cat on his lap, in the photo shared by his daughter, Hope Walz, on her Instagram.
“The Earth keeps spinning and we live to fight another day,” the loving daughter captioned her photo.
It was the first look at a post-election Walz, after he was seen emotional at Vice President Kamala Harris’ concession speech on Wednesday.
He was photographed patting his heart while appearing to hold back tears as Harris thanked him and his family.

Walz later published his opinion on the election.
“Thank you Vice President Kamala Harris for trusting me and selecting me as your running mate,” he wrote on X.
‘Campaigning alongside him was the honor and privilege of my life.
“Although the result is not what we wanted, I am grateful to the millions of Americans who joined our campaign and stood up for our highest ideals: decency, compassion and love for our neighbors,” the Minnesota governor continued.
“Now, more than ever, we need you to continue fighting for those values and the country we all love.”
Walz will now continue serving as governor of Minnesota, with two years left in his term.

Shortly afterward he shared his thoughts on the election on X.
Now she’s vowed to keep fighting for The Gopher State, and on TikTok, her daughter shared a video Thursday showing her driving, with her brother, Gus, in the passenger seat.
‘For the first time we drive without the Secret Service!’ Hope he said in the short video.
‘We’re listening to I Won’t Back Down by Tom Petty, and we just wanted to say we really appreciate everyone. We love you all.’
He went on to tell his followers that, “Our father is doing amazing and is ready to continue the fight here in Minnesota, because it will be a safe place for all people.”
“We’ll be fine,” Hope assured her followers. “We’re all going to be okay.”
